How it all started

My mom taught me to sew as a teen. We didn’t have much, and getting new fabrics to make clothing wasn’t really an option. So I started using old or unwanted clothing and other materials to create my own wearables with. After many years of upcycling my own clothing, I started selling my creations while using 100% recycled and vintage materials. These days finding all the right recycled fabrics is much harder, so I do have to supplement with a rare new fabric. But my business still has the same mission.

What goes into each piece

Sourcing all the the right materials can be really hard work. Then the fabrics need to be washed, and because I mostly use vintage materials, stains need to be addressed, holes need to be mended. Then I plan out the details of each garment, sometimes stitching many hours of hand embroidery first. I put so much love, care, and attention to detail in everything I create. I hope that each person that wears one of my pieces can feel the energy I imbue into it.
